Cameco History

The Cameco tractor brand started in 1965 when the company was founded in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The company specialized in sugarcane equipment, and its first product was a sugarcane harvester. In 1997, John Deere purchased 49% of the company, with the intention of acquiring the rest of it in 1998.
