Valpadana is an Italian brand that produces a range of agricultural machinery, including tractors. The company was founded in the early twentieth century by a group of farmers in the province of Vicenza, in the Veneto region of Italy. The first Valpadana tractor was produced in 1960.
Valpadana Tractor was a company formed in San Martino in Rio, Italy in early 1935. There was great interest in the new company and its products as it was the first agricultural machinery manufacturer in Italy that had been set up since the end of World War I.
The company started with a small range of products which included the VAP 15-30, VAP 30-60, VAP 60-90, and the VAP 90-120. All these models were powered by engines from FIAT. In 1937, Valpadana exhibited at the Milan Fair for the first time and won a gold medal for one of its tractors.
During World War II, production at Valpadana came to a standstill as all manufacturing resources were diverted to support the war effort. However, in 1945, after the war had ended, Valpadana was able to resume tractor production.
