The first CBT tractor was assembled in 1959 in Piracicaba, Brazil. The company was founded by Brazilian entrepreneurs with the goal of providing high-quality, affordable farm equipment to Brazilian farmers.
In the early years, CBT imported and assembled Oliver tractors. However, as the company grew, it began to produce its own components and eventually started selling tractors under its own brand name.
CBT continued to innovate new designs throughout the 1970s and 1980s. In fact, their products were so well-received that they were exported to other countries in South America.
Unfortunately, 1995 marked the end of CBT’s operations. This was due to market reforms in Brazil which made it difficult for the company to compete.
CBT tractor models include the CBT 1000, CBT 2400, CBT 8240 and CBT 9450.
